SILENT MARCH

October 11th, 2019

The purpose of this march was to raise awareness for domestic violence in the city area, especially Flushing, as domestic violence is prevalent in this city. KAFSC has been doing this for the last 23 years, and the march took place on October 11th on Main Street and Union Street- two of the busiest streets in Flushing. The streets were closed off on one side so that we could march silently to honor those who cannot speak against the violence faced by their domestic partner and so that people who question why the streets are closed off can ask what our cause is and the reason behind the march.
